Importing Maps

Importing a map into the CS3500 controller:

There are no size limitations to the image, however images that are larger than the screen resolution are impractical and will degrade when they are shrunk to fit the screen size. Images that are too small will not provide much detail and will not look good when they are stretched to fit the screen size. We recommend using images that approximate the screen resolution. (640x480, 800x600, or 1280X800 pixels would work just fine).

The image format should be a Windows Bitmap (.BMP).

You can get this very easily, even from applications that don’t export pictures.

  • Make the image you want fill the screen as much as possible
  • Press “Print Screen”
  • Open Paint
  • Choose “Paste” from the “Edit” Menu.
  • Edit the image as needed, and save it as a bitmap.

    • To import this image into the software:

  • Go to the Map View in the Acclima Irrigation Manager software
  • Press the expand button on the little blue bar that says “Map controls”
  • Press the button that says “Load Map Image”
  • Find your image file.

    • This image file will be loaded on that one computer only. Each computer that accesses the given controller will have to have the map loaded individually.
